Italian Cookies

Each of these special Italian Cookies comes from a family recipe direct from Italy. You won't find a more authentic Italian Cookie this side of the Atlantic. All Italian Cookies are $10.95 per pound.

Biscotti

The word biscotti has a double meaning. The root name stems from "bis" and "cotto". "Bis" translates to “more than one” and "cotto" means “cooking” in Italian. In other words twice baked cookie. Venetian biscotti were a perfect provision for sailors who went to sea for months at a time. Even Christopher Columbus relied on biscotti for his long sea voyages. Today, biscotti is much sweeter and is enjoyed by many with their cappuccino and even dipped in their favorite wine.
